A motorcycle club's ride through Wilsonville, Oregon turned into a giant human dominoes crash when a lead motorcycle attempted to avoid hitting a sudden freeway traffic stall and a pickup truck, causing two columns of bikes and drivers to spill all over the freeway causing 10 injuries, 26 crashes and two critical injuries requiring life flight.
With the tight formation of the bikes, there was no time to react when the sudden traffic stall resulted and the collision occurred, forcing so many bikes to fall like dominoes resulting in many injuries and damaged bikes.
Most of the motorcyclists had traveled from Idaho for the ride which had been safe up to the point of the sudden dangerous freeway traffic stall.

This demonstrates how STUPID it can be to drive in a tight formation two abreast on a busy highway. It is amazing there weren't 26 deaths. I wonder how much health insurance premiums will go up to cover this?

Patch holders ride two abreast and within one second of the bike ahead, no room to take evasive action if needed. Looks menacing as they travel down the road, but that's their only benifit. They loose that benifit when they are splayed out all over the pavement.

Did they all have helmets on? In my state it is is the law. Perhaps we need a triage protocol that those without helmets are last to get medical help. No, not really. Even dumb shits deserve humane treatment. But it is amusing to fantasize.
Interesting that these young adventurers w/o health insurance will get Medicare when they are flat broke with no assets. If they and all like them HAD to have insurance and we had universal coverage, that is the best option for all of us taxpayers.
