Ed McMahon's Star Vandalized

Who and why? Laist.com reported that in the darkness of Tuesday night someone purged themselves of their strange hatred for Ed McMahon.

Last night, this is what Ed McMahon's Hollywood Walk of Fame star looked like just outside of the Roosevelt Hotel. There were no flowers or no notes, just newspaper stuck to the sidewalk with some black paint or tar over his name.

If you can, please post a picture after it is cleaned up. At least the damage doesn't appear permanent.

Perhaps it would help if we mentioned what a huge carbon footprint vandalism has. Graffitti, broken windows and arson cause way more global warming than my Dodge.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that most of Ed's obits mentioned his service as a Marine pilot? (something a lot of folks didn't know.) Lots of looney lefties come unhinged over anything military!
