"Enchanted" director Kevin Lima will direct a remake of "The Incredible Mr. Limpet," a story about a man who turns into a talking fish. Don Knotts starred in the studio's 1964 original, which centered on a regular joe who first becomes a fish and then becomes World War II hero when he helps spot and thwart enemy warships for the Allies.
- Is Katie Holmes taking the stage on So You Think You Can Dance? Reps for the FOX show wont confirm or deny rumors Holmes will dance this season in a Broadway number choreographed by SYTYCD judge Tyce Diorio. Holmes has met with the show's executive producer Nigel Lythgoe on more than one occasion.
- Steven Spielberg is apparently courting former "E.R" star Noah Wyle for a new untitled alien-invasion series. The series takes place six months after evil extra terrestrials decimate mankind. Wyle would play the leader of a ragtag group of citizens who try to bring down the aggressors. Wait. That's 'V', isn't it?
- Despite interest from TBS to continue the canceled NBC series "My Name is Earl" with new episodes, producing studio 20th Century Fox TV and creator/executive producer Greg Garcia have opted not to move forward, putting an end to the offbeat comedy after four seasons.
- Now that "The Hangover" is the number-one movie in the country, Warner Bros are looking like geniuses for greenlighting a sequel months before it was even released. And director Todd Phillips has already said he's on board to direct again.
- Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to star in a still untitled, just pitched movie by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Rounders, Ocean's Thirteen). The story takes place in the world of Costa Rica-based online casinos.
