- "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane", originally scheduled for release in 2006, has been pulled - yet again. Senator Distribution had planned to [finally] release Jonathan Levine's terrific teen-thriller on July 17 but has now suddenly abandoned those plans. No explanation was given.
- E! Entertainment's "The Soup" franchise continues to stir up spinoffs, launching an edition for sister cabler G4. "Web Soup," hosted by Chris Hardwick ("Attack of the Show"), will air Sundays at 9 p.m. starting June 4.
- Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler will star in Bounty Hunter, a film rumored to smack of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In Bounty Hunter, Aniston plays a journalist on the run from her hitman ex-husband (Butler) after he's instructed to kill her.
- Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer will star in Code Entertainment's mob drama "The Irishman." Based on the life of mobster Danny Greene (Stevenson), who lorded over Cleveland's criminal underworld during the late 1970s. Walken is onboard to play infamous loan-sharking nightclub owner Shondor Birns, and Kilmer will portray a Cleveland cop who befriends Greene.
- Matthew Fox is attached to star in the assassin thriller "Billy Smoke." Based on the comic book series the story centers on an elite hit man who is nearly killed during a botched job. He realizes that his only way to find redemption is to rid the world of all assassins.
- Rosario Dawson and Steve Coogan have joined Fox 2000's Greek mythology-infused adventure "Percy Jackson." Chris Columbus is directing the Rick Riordan's best-selling fantasy-adventure book series. Catherine Keener, Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, Melina Kanakaredes, Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson already have been cast.
