The sister of former "The View" co-host Lisa Ling has been taken into custody by North Korean soldiers.

Laura Ling and her colleague Euna Lee were on the Chinese-North Korean border on Tuesday when they were grabbed by armed forces. There are conflicting reports as to whether the two were in China or North Korea when they were apprehended.

South Korea's Yonhap news service reports that the two are likely now in Pyongyang under interrogation.

Ling and Lee were preparing a report for Current TV on North Koreans fleeing the repressive regime.
