- NBC News chief White House correspondent David Gregory has been named the moderator of "Meet the Press," replacing the late Tim Russert in one of TV's top jobs. Gregory beat out a number of other contenders for the job, including NBC News political director Chuck Todd and PBS' Gwen Ifill.
- Bear Grylls, host of Discovery Channel's "Man vs. Wild," was injured Friday night while on an expedition in Antarctica unrelated to his duties for the network. The adventurer fell and injured his shoulder while on an expedition for Ethanol Ventures to promote the potential of alternative energies like bioethanol.
- Elizabeth Banks, Terrence Howard and Rainn Wilson will join Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Jorge Camara to announce the Nominations for "The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards" on Thursday morning, December 11, 2008 at The Beverly Hilton.
- "Fanboys" director Kyle Newman will bring comic book "Emo Boy" to the big screen. Published by Slave Labor Graphics, the satirical comic followed the travails of the most self-dramatizing young man in the history of the world, whose emotions were so intense he even had "emo powers."
- Miley Cyrus will star in a sequel to 80s hit "Adventures in Babysitting". Fellow tween star Raven Symone will co-star in the sequel, currently titled "Further Adventures in Babysitting." The movie is set for a 2010 release.
- Will Smith says a "Hancock" sequel is a certainty. According to the actor there's a lot of other interesting characters in that universe left to explore.
