- A new 5 minute trailer for 20th Century Fox's The Day the Earth Stood Still is now online. Opening on December 12 in conventional theaters and IMAX, the sci-fi thriller stars Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Kathy Bates, Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm and Kyle Chandler.
- Marvel Studios has released this very clear update on RDJ: As part of his four picture deal with Marvel Studios, Robert Downey Jr. is appearing as Tony Stark in THE AVENGERS motion picture, as well as reprising his starring role as the larger-than-life leading character in IRON MAN 2.
- The new version of "90210" is posting decent numbers for the CW and now insiders confirm that CW and CBS Paramount Network TV are exploring the possibility of reviving "Melrose Place". Should it happen you can assume Rob Estes wont return as he now plays the father on 90210.
- Regardless of constant rumors of cancellation E! has announced a second-season pickup for celeb reality series "Denise Richards: It's Complicated."
- Universal has decided to abandon those direct-to-video "American Pie" spin-off films in favor of a third sequel to the original film - Likely picking up on the whereabouts of now-married Jim and Michelle (Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan). Like the other three, it'll be released theatrically.
- Universal has bought rights to Mike Sobel's disaster-actioner pitch "Skyscraper." Described as a modern-day "Towering Inferno," in which a Donald Trump-esque developer sets out to build a mile-high structure in Chicago. When the tower starts to falter, a crew must rescue the city from mayhem.
