- The video game The Sims is being turned into a movie. The movie follows a 16 year olf kid and his friends who get a hold of a Sims Infinity Pack that they buy from a mysterious video game store and suddenly control all the people around them.
- Disney is doing a big screen version of the Lone Ranger. Word is George Clooney is slated to be the masked man and Johnny Depp as his side kick Tonto.
- "I Am Legend" is getting a prequel. The film will chronicle the final days of humanity in New York before a man-made virus caused a plague that left Smith's character the lone survivor among a mutated mob in the city. Will Smith is on board.
- Director George Miller has cast Armie Hammer to play Bruce Wayne and his Caped Crusader alter ego in the upcoming superhero-filled Justice League Mortal. Adam Brody is cast to be The Flash.
- Steven Spielberg will direct John Wyndham's sci-fi tome Chocky. The novel explores the darker side of childhood, telling the tale of a father who becomes distressed when his son constantly argues with an imaginary friend. He soon suspects that an alien consciousness has taken over the boy's mind.
- "War Heroes," the latest comic-book series by Mark Millar and Tony Harris, is headed for the big screen, with Michael De Luca ("21") producing for Sony's Columbia Pictures.
