I like to share interesting little stories in the news because they make for such great conversation at happy hour. Today there were simply too many to choose from. So I broke it down nice and simple like.
- In Deltona Fla. a father was arrested and held on $100,000 bail when he chased his daughters naked boyfriend from her room with a metal pipe. Apparently striking him as well. [here]
- Police closed down a Berlin sweet shop after discovering the owner was selling chocolates and lollipops laced with hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana. [here]
- A businessman said he was so frustrated with the condition of a public bathroom in the western Michigan tourist town of Saugatuck that he cleaned it himself, and billed the city $156 for his work. [here]
- In Stuttgart Germany EMT's are getting emergancy patients to the hospital in style. They've recently added Porsche SUV's, valued at $140,000, to their fleet of cars. And hows this for validation... Porsche reps say the car 'is equipped with a siren which can be better heard by drivers'. [here]
- A middle school teacher from Montana suffered some bruising and a big scratch on his back after he struck a bear while riding his bicycle to school. And thats not even the part I found most interesting. The school he teaches at? It's called Target Range Middle School. Change that. Please. [here]
- A man suspected of breaking into the home of two California farmworkers, rubbing spices into the face of one man and smacking another with an 8-inch sausage has been set free. I don't think I need to bait you with anymore. [here]
