HOLY CRAP: Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse cut a tragic figure last night as she stumbled through the streets of Camden looking worse than ever. The singer, who has largely keep out of public view in recent weeks, was a guest DJ at her local pub the Monarch, where she emerged in a dishevelled, bleary-eyed state. She arrived more than two hours late for her Snakehips session alongside DJ Bioux.

I nearly bought a cd by this trainwreck yesterday, but wisely opted for Stevie Wonder's Greatest Hits instead. I think I made a wise choice.

Sadly, Janis Joplin, Hendrix and Jim Morrison all looked far better in their final days. Only Elvis looked bad enough to raise real health concerns among his family, although they didn't expect his death.

Some other deaths like Marc Bolan's car accident death were a complete surprise. But Amy Winehouse certainly has that Madame Tussaud's waxy death figure look for sure. She makes even Keith Richard on a bad day look like the picture of health.
