Photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has made millions of dollars photographing U.S. celebrities, is allegedly $715,000 in debt, court records show.
The New York Post reported Sunday that, according to court documents, the 58-year-old photographer owes up to $715,000 in relation to a failed book deal, unpaid taxes, missing renovation payments and outstanding equipment rental fees.
The overdue renovation payments were for her townhouse in New York's Greenwich Village, the documents indicate.
A spokeswoman for Vanity Fair magazine, which has Leibovitz signed to a more than $2 million-a-year contract, told the Post the photographer's debts should be resolved. "To the best of my knowledge all of these (debts) have been resolved," the spokeswoman said.
