Alison Arngrim says she wasn't the nastiest child actor on "Little House on the Prairie," despite her proficiency at playing Nellie Oleson. "It was Melissa Sue Anderson. Poor little blind Mary. She had the worst stage mother," she tells Chaunce Hayden in Steppin' Out. Arngrim also reveals that her father was Liberace's manager. "Uncle Lib insisted nobody say he was gay. He had so many female fans who were madly in love with him and he was convinced they'd be upset if they knew. The man was wearing rhinestone hot pants. I was 8, and even I knew he was gay!"
