Meanwhile, Nicole, who has maintained almost no contact with her birth parents for years, has reportedly decided to attempt getting to know them for the sake of her newborn daughter.

The 26-year-old former Simple Life star's biological father is Afro-Latin American percussionist Peter Michael Escovedo III, and her mother is known only as a Caucasian woman who worked as a backstage assistant on Lionel Richie's 1980 world tour.
