
- Rumors are swirling that MGM is remaking Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. The script is supposedly full of "hip" pop culture references for today's kids, like Bill and Ted worrying they're going to miss The Dark Knight.
- EW is reporting Matthew McConaughey has ganked the roll of Magnum P.I. long-gestating film version of the classic 80s TV series starring Tom Selleck.
- The trailer for "WarGames 2 : The Dead Code", the sequel to the popular 80s flick starring Matthew Broderick, is up at /Film. Starring Matt Lanter (from "Heroes"), the sequel fixes on a computer hacker who engages a goverment super-computer named Ripley in an online terrorist-attack simulation game.
- "Heroes" Cheerleader Hayden Panettiere will star in a film version of the novel "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List", says Variety. The book is the latest by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, whose past title, "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," has been turned into a Mandate Pictures and Sony comedy starring Michael Cera and Kat Dennings.
- Ving Rhames will reunite with fellow "Pulp Fiction" veteran Bruce Willis in the sci-fi thriller "The Surrogates," which starts shooting later this month. The Disney film, based on a graphic novel, is set in a world where humans live risk-free lives through robot surrogates that are eternally young, perfect-looking versions of themselves.
