- The filmmakers behind the remake of "Killer Tomatoes" keen to have George Clooney appear in their redo since he did 1988's "Return of the Killer Tomatoes". "It's a bit early to talk casting, but we REALLY want George Clooney to be in it and we have a role in mind for Bruce Campbell as well!", Doug Sarine says.

- Elizabeth Banks is in final talks to play Laura Bush in W, Oliver Stone's biopic on the life and presidency of George W. Bush. Josh Brolin already is on board to play Bush in the biopic, which begins shooting in late April in Shreveport, Louisiana.
- Jaime King will be the female lead in Director Patrick Lussier's remake of "My Bloody Valentine". King will star in the remake of the 1981 slasher film about a murderer who kills those who celebrate Valentine's Day. The film will be shot in 3D.
- A couple of TV faces joining the cast of Gus Van Sant's biopic, 'MILK'. Victor Garber, best known for his role as Poppa Bristow on "Alias", and Douglas Smith, who plays Ben on HBOs "Big Love", are joining Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch and James Franco for the controversial yarn.
- Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of the dark comedy/horror feature "Jennifer's Body," Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman's follow-up collaboration to "Juno." Cody's script centers on Jennifer (Megan Fox), a cheerleader possessed by a demon who starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town.
