Director John Landis and "Superman" star Brandon Routh have joined the lineup for NBC's 13-part horror anthology series "Fear Itself," which is slated to run in the summer.
With teen-targeted horror movies continuing to generate solid box office returns, NBC hopes to crack the scariest plot of all: the longtime ratings curse on broadcast television anthology series. Last year, ABC's short-lived "Science Fiction" was put into the deadly Saturday 10 p.m. slot despite generating positive critical reviews.

That actually sounds like it could be really cool. Not so much for Brandon Routh, but John Landis. The director of "The Blues Brothers", "Animal House" and other greats could do nothing but improve the sorry state of TV.
