JESSICA SIMPSON's flop film BLONDE AMBITION has become a surprise box office hit - in the Ukraine.

The almost straight-to-DVD movie, which also stars Luke Wilson, has become the number one film in the Eastern European nation after grossing over $250,000 (GBP125,000) last weekend (15-17Feb08).

The film had a limited run in eight Texas cinemas back in December (07) and failed to gross $2,000 (GBP1,000) in itsopening weekend. It was then pulled from theatres and packaged for the DVD shelves.
