Sad news surfaced late Thursday (January 17) with reports that Lily Allen, who had been pregnant with her first child, suffered a miscarriage. The expecting father was boyfriend Ed Simons, who is one-half of the Chemical Brothers.
A report in British tabloid The Sun initially reported the news on Thursday, saying the 22-year-old singer and her boyfriend of four months were in a "state of shock." Allen's U.S. representative had no comment when reached by MTV News.
