IMDb.com reports James Brolin and Diane Ladd are negotiating to play Ewing family parents Jock and Miss Ellie in the revamped "Dallas" movie project.

Directors and cast quit the film earlier this year, leaving signed-up star Luke Wilson to comment that he felt the film adaptation of the 1980s TV soap would never be made. Wilson is reportedly still on board, as is John Travolta, cast as oil tycoon villain J.R. Ewing. "Doctor Dolittle" director Betty Thomas will direct. Minka Kelly is reportedly in talks to replace the about-to-launch twins (theoretically) Jennifer Lopez as Pamela Ewing, while Julie Benz has been offered the part of J.R.'s wife Sue Ellen Ewing.
