Prince William has whisked girlfriend Kate Middleton to the countryside - scene of their earlier adventures together.

The lovebirds, who rekindled their nearly five-year relationship over the summer, are spending some quality time in the Highlands of Scotland.

They are believed to be staying on his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's Balmoral estate - a perfect escape for both to indulge in their favorite field sports.

The couple, both 25, flew in from London on Thursday evening, reports the local paper, the Press and Journal in Aberdeen, which also said they sat next to one another in the second row on the British Airways fight - with Middleton occupying the window seat.
