Sir Paul McCartney and estranged wife Heather Mills will (finally) attempt to agree a divorce settlement this week at a secret meeting before a judge, according to reports. The couple and their legal representatives will attend a one-day hearing at London's Royal Courts of Justice in a bid to avoid the media.
The aim of the hearing, on Wednesday or Thursday, is to agree a financial settlement and avoid the dispute going to a costly and public hearing. A source tells British newspaper The Times, "This case ought to settle. It is absolutely straightforward."
If successful, Ms Mills is expected to walk away with a settlement worth somewhere between $80 million to $100 million.
