The screenplay of Francis Ford Coppola's latest film was stolen from the director's home in Buenos Aires, police said Thursday.
According to the results of a preliminary investigation, five men broke into Coppola's house, in the Palermo neighbourhood in northern Buenos Aires, and hurt one employee.
The burglars left with computers and other personal belongings including the screenplay of Tetro, Coppola's next work. Filming is scheduled to start in February in Argentina.
'They were looking for money, and they did not find it because there wasn't any. And they took computers and other digital devices, like a camera,' said an employee who acted as a spokeswoman for the director.
'The only thing we want to ask, on behalf of Mr Coppola, is that they please return at least the information that is inside his computer, which holds all his creative work of a very long time,' the woman said.

Things like this do happen. That is why people that do extensive work from their home PC's should consider utilizing an online backup software as opposed to a piece of media that is kept in the same room as the machine itself. You should consider a service such as eSureIT from Intronis Technologies (www.intronis.com). This service will allow you to backup all of your data and feel secure knowing that is backed up in 2 locations as well as encrypted when away from you.
With this service you can simply point and click when you need to get any data back.
