Hollywood sweethearts Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend have declared themselves "married" despite never making the union official in a ceremony.
The couple showed off their "wedding" rings at the premiere of Townsend's directorial debut, Battle In Seattle - which stars Theron -at the Toronto Film Festival on Wednesday.
Townsend revealed, "I didn't do a church wedding or anything, but we're married. We're husband and wife. We love each other and we want to spend our lives together. We didn't have a ceremony, I don't need a certificate or the state or the church to say otherwise. So no there's no big official story on a wedding, but we are married...I consider her my wife and she considers me her husband." That's sweet.

God, this woman is just so full of herself. And I can't stand the so-called journalists who ask stars these stupid questions. Here's a clue, guys: we don't care about Charlize & Stuart!

Is it okay if I "consider" Scarlett Johannson my wife, then? I mean, she doesn't *really* have to know, does she?

How convenient. Then, in a year's time, when they split but "remain friends," they can say: "I don't need a certificate saying I'm no longer married."
I guess marriage is just whatever they want it to be.
My question is ... why bother announcing they're "married" when there's been absolutely no change in the status quo?
Sheesh. Hollywood types really are desperate souls. I guess making all that money for so little work really eats at them like acid.
