Another ground breaking moment in 'who are you foolin' gay life has been brought to our attention. In a recent AP article there was reference made to Frasier actor David Hyde Pierce's 'life partner' and the word is it's the first mention of such a thing since he came to Hollywood.
The quote read "Pierce got to Los Angeles in the early 1990s when his partner, actor-writer-producer Brian Hargrove, wanted to write for television." In order to verify this nonchalant mention AfterElton.com contacted Pierce's representation, who confirmed that Hargrove is indeed Pierce's life partner. It's interesting that this quiet yet enormous step was taken shortly after Pierce was essentially outed by Michael Musto in his "Glass Closet" article that accompanied Out magazine's controversial "Gay Power List" piece.

David Hyde Pierce is an immensly talented actor and comedian. I had always assumed he was gay and didn't really care.
I believe he gives much time and money to the Alzheimer's Association.

Hargrove was a writer on Titus, which was a very good show... that guest-starred David Hyde Pierce one episode, come to think of it.
