When I was the age of VS's ... (Below threshold)1. Posted by langtry | May 7, 2007 10:14 AM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
When I was the age of VS's core demographic (about 15 years ago), VS was elegant, dare I say it, classy. The aesthetic was an English Rose, and the catalog even had a faux London address listed on its cover (No. 5 Margaret Street, IIRC). But what is it now?
That question was answered for me when I was in the elevator with another family at Chicago's Water Tower Place mall. One of the daughters, who looked to be about 14, spied VS across the atrium and said to her Dad, "That Victoria's Secret looks like a place where strippers work. I'm too embarassed to go in."
I immediately congratulated the parents on raising such a well-adjusted teenager.
