Designers pull 'rape ad'

Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana will withdraw an advertisement that shows a man pinning a woman by her wrists after widespread criticism it condoned violence against women.

"We have decided to cancel ... the advertising image that has caused such repercussions within human interest groups and individuals," Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said in an emailed statement.

Hey, maybe the woman in the picture likes being held down? She certainly dosen't look frightened. I don't see any violence here.

Maybe she was drowning and these four nice boys fished her out of the water and gave her CPR. It's a heroic and inspiring picture that has nothing to do with violence toward women.

Seriously, people that make their living by being offended are able to see offensivness in any image they look at. It's like an ink-blot test for people with their own agenda.

People on a witch hunt always manage to find witches.
