HollywoodReporter:

James Van Der Beek (Dawson's Creek, Criminal Minds) has joined ABC's drama pilot "Football Wives," which follows the wives of professional football players. Van Der Beek will play a rookie.

Scott Wolf (The Nine, Everwood) has landed the lead in ABC's untitled Sachs/Judah project, which follows the lives of co-workers at a top law firm. Wolf will play the leader of the Law Dogs litigating team.

Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) is set to star opposite Parker Posey in Fox's comedy pilot "The Return of Jezebel James," which centers on a single book editor (Posey) who can't conceive and asks her estranged younger sister (Ambrose) to carry her baby.

Jerry O'Connell (Crossing Jordan, Sliders), Faith Ford (Hope and Faith, Murphy Brown), Fred Goss (Sons & Daughters), and Jerry Minor (Lucky Louie, Beer League) have been tapped to star in ABC's comedy pilot "Carpoolers," which follows four men who carpool to work every day.

Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia, The Grudge 2) is set to star in CBS' drama pilot "Babylon Fields," an apocalyptic comedic drama about the dead being resurrected and trying to resume their former lives. Tamblyn will play a young woman who, after being abused by her father, teamed with her mom to kill him only to see him come back.

Molly Parker (Deadwood) and Josh Hopkins (Brothers & Sisters, Pepper Dennis) have joined CBS' drama pilot "Swingtown," which revolves around married couples in 1970s suburbia who experiment with partner-swapping. Parker will play a housewife with teen kids. Hopkins will play an ex-jock.

Jerry O'Connell in "... (Below threshold)
langtry:

Jerry O'Connell in "Carpoolers"?

If someone wanted to torture me, they should tie me to a chair and force me to watch anything starring Jerry O'Connell. "Crossing Jordan" alone should end his miserable acting career but no, middle class suburban males can relate to him.

Uugh!

So is it just me, or does "... (Below threshold)

So is it just me, or does "Football Wives" sound vaguely familiar... like, maybe similar to the BBC series "Footballers Wives"?
