Like me, many of you just assumed Daniel Smith got the deadly drugs by simply prying them from his mothers cold intoxicated hands. Now, a report obtained by TMZ, is proving other wise. And it's got all the makings of a good Dynasty season finale.

Not only did Howard K Stern provide the drug (methadone) but later he attempted to cover it up by flushing the remaining pills down the toilet. Bahamian officials agreed to conduct a formal inquest into the claim.

More than 20 witnesses will be called to testify, including one who allegedly insists that Howard K. Stern gave Daniel methadone before he died.
