Lindsay Lohan is in a hospital for an appendectomy after complaining that she wasn't feeling well."She is having her appendix removed," Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan's publicist, told ABCNEWS.com. "That's all I will confirm."
Zelnik would not say at what hospital Lohan was being treated, nor if she expected the actress and singer to miss any commitments.
Doctors asked Lohan to return to the hospital today to perform the appendectomy as a precaution after being tested yesterday, according to TMZ.com. The celebrity Web site reports that Lohan is resting comfortably.

I suspect what they're really doing is putting in a new liver. One that hasn't been destroyed by alchohol.

I'm with Bob on this, but my suspician is pancreatitis or inflamation of the liver due to rampant alcohol abuse. While I suspect there may be a kernal of truth to the story being told by Lohan's publicisits, these people have demonstrated time and again their willingness to lie on behalf of their client. Lindsay Lohan has a dangerous, drug and alcohol-addled lifestyle which will cause her to take a dirt nap at a very young age.
And as for my bitter attitude towards this young woman, dumb b****es like her make me fear for my nieces, and for my friends who are trying to raise daughters in a society that increasingly values them for nothing more than how sexy they are anf how much money they spend.

Lyndsay didn't have an appendectomy. She was taped coming out of the Century City Hospital walking just fine. Someone who has this type of surgery isn't walking like she did the day after such a surgery.
Chances are she had something else done but not surgery. Maybe she had another herpes outbreak.
