
The man who shot and killed John Lennon is denied parole, just one day after what would have been the former Beatle's 66th birthday.Mark David Chapman is serving 20 years to life at Attica state prison for fatally shooting Lennon 26 years ago.
The parole board noted Chapman's good behavior, but said they were still concerned because of the violent and premeditated nature of the crime.
This was Chapman's fourth parole hearing.
The next one is in 2008.
