Meredith Vieira, formerly of ABC's 'The View' and going to NBC's 'Today,' said CBS, her old network, treated Dan Rather like yesterday's news, reports the New York Daily News.
"Tacky."That's how Vieira characterized CBS News' treatment of Rather exit yesterday during a lunchtime appearance at the Friars Club.
"It's kind of sad," Vieira told the crowd. "No matter what, he put in many, many years. It was just sort of tacky."
Vieira seemingly couldn't resist adding: "And this is the guy who did in my husband."
A reference to the anchorman's alleged role in the February 1988 firing of her husband - Richard Cohen - as CBS News senior political producer, after Rather was roughed up in a live on-air encounter with then-Vice President George H.W. Bush.

I couldn't figure out how to send this to you anywhere else so i'm writting it here. The article on Tinker Bell finding her voice is wrong.
Julia Roberts played Tinker Bell in the Robin Williams version of the story called, "Hook" and she spoke throughout the film. Maybe you can tell your friends and have them correct the record.
