Troubled L.A. party boy Brandon Davis has entered rehab, believed to be for addiction to cocaine and alcohol.
Last week this page reported, in a blind item, that his family had been urging him to submit to treatment.Davis, a former boyfriend of Mischa Barton, shot to notoriety last month when he was filmed insulting Lindsay Lohan. The grandson of deceased oil billionaire Marvin Davis, Brandon Davis, who was with Paris Hilton during the diatribe, has the dubious honor of adding the word "firecrotch" to the national vocabulary.
Davis admitted he was entering treatment late Thursday, when confronted by a reporter from In Touch magazine.
Sources say Davis had been staying at L.A.'s Peninsula Hotel since Tuesday, waiting for a place to open at the Malibu rehab center Passages.
