While Denis Leary battles blazes on "Rescue Me," the FDNY is starting them with the 2007 New York City Firefighters Calendar, which poses 12 sizzling studs bare-chested (some of whom are shown at the jump) at iconic Big Apple sites.

The heroes will sign copies from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at The Original Firestore, 17 Greenwich Ave. Calendars ($14.99 each) can also be snagged in bookstores and elsewhere around town. Part of the proceeds go to The Children's Storefront, a tuition-free Harlem school, and the Thomas R. Elsasser Fund for families of firefighters who die as active FDNY members but not in line of duty.
